Bruce and Joyce Hansen founded Great Plains Auto Body in November 1988 as a family owned and operated body shop. We first opened our doors in Omaha, Nebraska in a 5000 sq. ft. leased facility at 78th and "F" street. In 1992, 2500 sq. ft. were added. In 1996, we purchased the 17,000 sq. ft. building and 3 and 1/2 acres of land, which serves as our current location. In 2000, we underwent a major addition to the facilities (12,000 sq. ft.) and an extensive remodel to the administrative offices. Along the way, we have found excellent employees who believe in the we want to provide. In 2007 we opened a second location in the Lake Manawa area of Council Bluffs, Iowa. The growth did not stop there! In 2012 we opened our third location on Emmet Street in Omaha. We work on all cars foreign and domestic and are the only Mercedes certified shop in Nebraska.
